Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, describes a range of emotional reactions caused by being faced with death or near-death circumstances (such as fires, floods, earthquakes, shootings, assault, automobile accidents, or wars) or events that threaten your own or someone else’s physical well-being. You re-live the traumatic event with fear or feelings of helplessness or horror. It may appear in your thoughts and dreams.
